Responsible Gambling

A number on a screen is not a reason to bet. What this site refuses to do, and what only you can do.

A forecast is not a green light

Each figure on TipsterGrid estimates how often an outcome occurs. “The model gives it 68%” can easily feel like an invitation, so be clear about what is inside that figure: at 68% you lose about once in every three tries. Over a season those losses bunch together rather than arriving at neat intervals — at that probability, five defeats in a row show up roughly once every few hundred bets, so a streak like that is no sign of a fault.

The same caution applies to the section readers find most convincing. A value bet says a price looks mispriced; it does not say the outcome is probable. A pick with a large edge and only a 25% chance should lose three times in four, and it can still be the best-value line on the page. Whenever a figure here makes a bet feel safe, it is being read the wrong way.

Adults only — 18 or your local legal age

Because this site covers gambling, it is meant for adults: 18 or over, or more where your local law sets a higher age. If you are younger, the betting links are off-limits to you, and no prediction here is worth breaking that rule for.

Signs it is no longer a hobby

Not a medical test — just the warning signs people usually spot too late.

  • Placing bets to recover losses instead of because a price appealed to you.
  • Raising stakes after a losing run, though nothing about the edge has changed.
  • Betting with money set aside for other things.
  • Keeping how much or how often you bet from the people around you.
  • Finding a week without betting hard work.
  • Feeling relieved, not pleased, when a bet comes in.

If you recognise any of these, BeGambleAware gives free, confidential advice and can direct you to further help. Most countries run their own gambling support services, and since we do not know where you are reading from, we will not guess a helpline for you — look up the support service in your country, and trust a government-funded or charity result over the first sponsored link.

Our part, and where it ends

We have no way to set limits for you. This site has no accounts, deposits or balances, so there is nothing we could block, pause or exclude. The controls that really help — deposit caps, loss caps, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion — sit inside the account wherever your money is held, and several countries also run national self-exclusion schemes. Neither is something we can touch.

Our part is telling you the truth about the odds. In practice, and visible on the pages:

  • We give probabilities instead of picks, so every claim can be checked against what really happened.
  • We show our failures. Our accuracy page backtest counts the matches it called wrong and names the league that fell outside our own calibration limit.
  • We never use “guaranteed”, “sure win” or “risk-free” language, and that page explains why such promises cannot hold.
  • Any fixture row where our model rates the price below our probability gets no betting button. Honesty costs us clicks there, which is the clearest sign we mean it.

When gambling stops being enjoyable, a sharper model will not help. Talking to someone trained to support you will.
